…trying not to become a man of success, but rather a man of value. (Albert E.)
This scenario describes the situation when you have one programmed marked with “Admitted”, no matter its priority on your list. All the others, with higher or lower priority are marked “Deleted”.
All that you can do is decide whether you want or don’t want to accept that position.
Options:
This scenario describes the situation when you have one programme marked with “Admitted”, while the rest are marked “Deleted”, yet before the notification day you received either pre-offers (read Pre-offer Letters), either you have been given DA as a Selection Group (unfortunately you cannot see that now on your Notification page).
Pre-offer letters or DA means that they have accepted you within the programme, yet due to the way the centralized system is built you cannot see that on your Notification page. You can only see your highest-priority marked with “Admitted”.

Now we should recall the following song:
“Relax, take it easy…” (c) Mika
Indeed we can only wait and nothing else…

Seems like the more I read, the more ‘nervy’ i get (even though im trying to stay cool!)
I’m assuming that one of the most common problems that applicants are facing relates to uncertianity, as applying for international univeristies is never an easy tasks. From applications, to ref. letters, personal statements, transcripts and above all visa issues.
Just a follow-up question; Does the statement ‘after each selection round’ means that the process can possibly stretch well beyond 8th may?
@ Djellel: I’m also a KTH applicant, with SG- MAAU

@Andrei:
Do you like this pessimistic phrase “beating around the bush” which means “Not discussing to the point (here SG and MR) rather insisting on some other things”?
Okay.
You do me a favour translating the following message in actual meaning. What I have got is a word to word meaning which may not be expressed in full. If you can, please collect the actual English meaning of the following message and let us understand the probability we have in this particular university.
“Engelska: Du uppfyller de särskilda behörighetskraven helt eller delvis genom reell kompetens. Beslutet gäller denna utbildning, denna termin.”
The English version I have got….
“English: You meet the special requirement entire or partial through real competence. The decision concerns this education, this semester”
Thanks.

Hi,
I had MR and SG to 5 universities until Monday, now everything has reverted to ” Application in process”.
Is anybody in the same situation?

@Mohammad Munir Hossain: No, your previous use of “beating around the bush” seemed more likely to say “We all want to know if we’re accepted or not before we get the admission letter, and that’s why we keep trying to find out about the SG&MR”
@Selasi ( Ghana): Read this http://andreineculau.com/blog/2008/04/studeranu-aftermath/4/

Is the guest scholar the same as the SI scholarship.
I think their response was first planned to be on May 5th

The deadline extensions are becoming ridiculous. At some point they need to accept responsibility for the task at hand show some professionalism in administering the admissions process.

Blame it on the online admin. system which was supposedly meant to streamline the admissions process, but it only put undue stress on the universities.
Previously seperate application packages were reqd. for each university (in case an applicant wanted to apply for degrees in diff. universities). Studera offered an all in one solution! Theoretically a person can apply to 8 diff. universities through this system, all in a single application package. Do the math and you get to know the complexity of the situiation.
Can’t really blame the universities for this obvious delay!

I’m in the same situation. Read what Andrei has written. anyway, the best we can do is just wait

@Djellel: Guest scholarship is one type of the SI scholarships, but it often blends and they have the same meaning.
About how they are awarded.. They must have a system, but it all happens behind closed doors, so just wait for a YES or NO from them. Nothing much you can do.
You can think of the Swedish Institute as a businessman who can help you or others with money. In the end, the guy doesn’t need to defend his decision whatsoever. It is his interests at stake and that only.

@Andrei, SI scholarship is awarded for students selected in the first selection round, I guess those with DA.
