…trying not to become a man of success, but rather a man of value. (Albert E.)
I will now take my experience about the admission even further.
So now you have just sealed your envelope with your application documents, and you have meticulously chosen an express courier.
Do you feel more relaxed? A bit. Maybe a bit. As you already think about what is going to happen next, you can imagine that the waiting days will be the most stressful days of your life.
The reality is that it can be very stressful, but it doesn’t have to be.
For me it was. But just a bit, and that was because I have tried with all my energy to make my experience useful - so I have been writing these instructions and descriptions, and I’ve been moderating the comments.
Hopefully, by the time you are reading this, things have already a plan to change for the better so your situation will not only be less stressful but even less confusing.
But anyway, you have sent your documents, and you are probably checking the courier’s tracking page every 2 hours or so to see where your precious documents have arrived already. Upon arrival in Sweden, your papers will most probably be picked up by the Swedish Post Office or wait a few days for a bigger load, and only then get delivered to Strömsund.
This will take another 2-3 days, and most surely your DHL tracking page will only tell you that delivery details have been set up, and that you should expect no further information on the tracking page. If you have signed up for phone confirmation, then you will actually receive a confirmation by SMS when the Swedish Post Office will actually make the delivery. I know this is weird, but this is what happened with DHL, by using their UNI Express service, specialized in university documents.
While I cannot guarantee the truth of the information, other couriers seem to handle this better:
Whatever courier you use though, within 3 to 7 days after your documents have arrived, you should also get an E-mail confirmation from the National Admissions Office.
Merely a living soul;
mostly one that survives.
Often seeing the best in people;
surely one that dies trying.

@ Laura H.
Thanks! I’ll graduate in june too (hopefully :)) and i think it is pointless too also because we knew before to apply that we had to have our diploma before to start the master programme. What it confuses me is the date because the master I have applied for starts in august..
well, let’s wait yes, by the way, which is ur Master? is it ur first choice too?
good luck to u too!!

Many of us have misinterpreted LUMAS 999. It doesn’t mean that you are admitted it means you have been highly ranked and selection will take place among highly ranked candidates based on available place.
I had had chit chat with one official from Lund on behalf of this community and insisted her to give some clue about 999 MR. She told me that there are 110 highlt ranked people with 999 MR and available seats are 75. So they have to decide whom they will send admission letters and whom they will place on waiting list for 2nd round.
Same is for all other universities exceptional cases who have been admitted 100% have received SG=DA with 999 MR.
It should be cleared now.

@Peke;
I got MR=999 (LUMAS) at Lund; MR=999 (PG) at Orebro, MR=999 (OS) at Uppsala and 7-14 MR (IM) at Kerolinska.
Praying for all of us for good news on 8th May.

Hi all, I got MR 999 at Malardalen Uni. Hope things are gonna be ok.
BTW, does anyone know if we can refuse a higher Priority University for a lower one in case we are accepted to both?
For i.e, I choose Malardalen for my first priority and Lund for the second one, and I am accepted to both of them. Can I choose to study at Lund in stead of Malardalen?
Thanks

@ Andrei: From where did u got this information?
To which I add.. Selection Group DA always means Direct
Admission, which means you are a special case. It is yet not confirmed, but DA also gives you the possibility to have that alternative as a real choice. Meaning you might be accepted by Priority1 with a different SG, and you could have DA for Priority2. In that case you will be asked to choose between the two.
